Description

Flying autonomous gardening robots

A system of interconnected drones - flying autonomous robots - is “tied” by cables to a ground-based wheeled module. Module (power source for drones) moves along fruit trees, and the drones themselves, using artificial intelligence and machine vision, recognize individual fruits, assessing their ripeness. The system is not only capable of collecting fruits grown on trees, but also perform other tasks, eg, pruning, which usually require active human participation. This is an excellent alternative to ground robots with a mechanical arm, not to mention manual harvesting: tests showed, what is FAR (Flying Autonomous Robots) collects fruits, practically without damaging them. The system is configured like apples, and for stone fruits – peaches, nectarines and plums.
