New type of coronavirus detected in dogs for the first time in Japan. According to "CGTN" – China International TV Channel, the diagnosis was recorded in two animals, living with different owners. This was reported by the Kyodo agency. Pets have been tested under a special Anicom program, which provides animal care services, while their owners are being treated for coronavirus. In dogs, which were transferred for overexposure, no deterioration in well-being was noticed. Cases of detection of coronavirus in pets were previously recorded in other countries, including the USA and France. The World Health Organization assured, that experts are closely monitoring cases of infection of pets with coronavirus. There is currently no information on the transmission of infection from animal to human.
